Washington D. C. — Hoy día, el senador republicano por Carolina del Sur Tim Scott anunció su candidatura a la presidencia de los Estados Unidos por el Partido Republicano. Jenny Lawson, directora ejecutiva de Planned Parenthood Votes, emitió el siguiente comunicado:

“Ha pasado un poco más de un mes desde que Tim Scott anunció la creación de un comité exploratorio de cara a las elecciones presidenciales y aún no puede encontrar su respuesta sobre el aborto de manera coherente. Él continúa yendo a tientas en estas elecciones primarias al negarse a ser honesto con el pueblo estadounidense. Pero ya sabemos quién es: quiere prohibir el aborto en todo el país y sabe que, mientras su postura extrema hace que esté en completo acuerdo con sus oponentes de las primarias, está muy lejos de lo que quieren los votantes.
