If there’s no place for mothers and babies in Donald Trump’s rallies, what kind of place would there be in Donald Trump’s America?

 

Donald Trump doesn’t respect women — he has called pregnant women an “inconvenience,” called a woman who had to leave a meeting to pump milk for her newborn “disgusting,” and today, in Virginia, Trump kicked a mother and her baby out of his rally because he does not “love having a baby crying” while he’s speaking.

 

Trump doesn’t seem to understand or care about mothers and their children, which is another reason why a Trump presidency would be a disaster for America’s families.

The GOP nominee initially suggested that he did not mind the disruption.

 

“Don’t worry about that baby. I love babies," Trump said after hearing the baby crying during an aside about the trade imbalance. "Don’t worry about it. I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it.” ...

 

Trump then returned to his non-baby-related remarks, only to hear the baby make more noise. ...

 

“Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here," the Republican nominee said to laughter and applause. "That’s all right. Don’t worry. I, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking."
