Mike Pence Vows To Send Safe, Legal Abortion “To The Ash Heap Of History.” Again.

Mike Pence has been threatening to send Roe v. Wade to the “ash heap of history” for a long time, and today at a campaign stop in Michigan, he trotted out that same line, promising Donald Trump wants the exact same thing. Let there be no doubt that when it comes to restricting women’s right to reproductive health care, Trump and Pence are two of a kind.

“For the sake of the rule of law, for the sake of the sanctity of life, for the sake of our Second Amendment, for the sake of all our other God-given liberties, we must ensure that the next president appointing justices to the Supreme Court is Donald Trump,” Pence said.

 

He promised that, with the election of Trump, “you will see Roe versus Wade consigned to the ash heap of history where it belongs.”
