“Only You Can Prevent Donald Trump”

$75,000 Ad Buy Part of Final GOTV push in Key Swing States

Washington, DC –– Ahead of the final Get Out The Vote weekend, Planned Parenthood Votes released a new ad to reach millennials, talking about the importance of protecting the country from Donald Trump. The ad is part of a $75,000 digital buy targeting voters under 35 years old nationally and in the key swing states of NV, NC, and PA via pre-roll, Facebook and on Instagram, and will run through election day.

Watch the video HERE.

The ad is a play on old-fashioned PSAs warning young people to protect themselves from harmful consequences. In this case, the thing to protect themselves against just happens to be a Donald Trump presidency.

Quote from Deirdre Schifeling, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Votes:

“We can’t afford to get caught up in the moment and think that it won’t matter if we don't vote. Donald Trump has campaigned on fear and division, and he's too dangerous to be president of this country. Only you can prevent a Donald Trump presidency. Protect yourself on Election Day --- vote!"

Millennial voters are a key demographic in the 2016 election, and will be a deciding force for both the presidential race and key Senate races.

Planned Parenthood Votes and Planned Parenthood Action Fund are running the largest electoral program in their history.  Overall, the organizations will spend $30 million in key swing states, to reach 3 million voters, get out the vote and defeat Donald Trump and key down-ballot candidates because of their records of attacks on women, women’s health, and women’s rights.
