Planned Parenthood Action Fund Congratulates Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham

Albuquerque, NM — Today, Planned Parenthood Action Fund congratulated Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a longtime champion of reproductive health care, for her election as governor of New Mexico.

We are excited that New Mexicans have elected Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham as governor, where she will continue to advocate for the health and rights of everyone in her state. In Congress, Rep. Lujan Grisham worked tirelessly against the Trump-Pence administration’s attacks on sexual and reproductive health care and against efforts to take away the health care of 20 million Americans. We look forward to standing with her as she works to expand and protect sexual and reproductive health and rights for all people in New Mexico.

Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham most recently served the 1st District of New Mexico in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she has been a strong supporter of reproductive health care access. In Congress, she worked to expand health care programs, such as the Children’s Health Insurance Program and Medicaid to legal immigrants through bills such as the HEAL Act of 2018. As governor, Lujan Grisham will continue to support reproductive health care access, including access to safe, legal abortion, for all New Mexicans.
