The Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the Western New York chapter of Planned Parenthood Advocates of New York congratulate Kathy Hochul on winning the special election in NY-26 and being elected the newest member of Congress.

“We congratulate Kathy Hochul and look forward to working with her,” said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.  “She will be an excellent congresswoman and a strong advocate for women’s health.”

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed Kathy Hochul for Congress earlier this month and  conducted an aggressive GOTV operation among supporters in the district.

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund believes Kathy Hochul will be a strong advocate in Congress to improve access to quality health care for women, fight to end discrimination and violence against women, support and protect a woman's right to choose, oppose efforts to bar Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funds to provide preventive health care, and invest in prevention programs, including family planning services and lifesaving cancer screenings.
