NEW YORK — Today, New York State Attorney General Tish James released the results of an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo, finding that he sexually harassed 11 women and retaliated against one for going public. Planned Parenthood Action Fund supports the survivors who have come forward and joins New York state and national leaders in demanding accountability, including the governor’s immediate resignation.

Statement from Planned Parenthood Action Fund president Alexis McGill Johnson:

“New York State Attorney General Tish James, with the help of the eleven women who bravely stepped forward, has issued a damning report about Governor Cuomo’s behavior and the toxic culture that enables powerful men to act with seeming impunity. We are appalled by the unacceptable incidents outlined in this report and support New Yorkers, their elected leaders, and Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts in calling for the Governor’s immediate resignation.

“Let’s be clear: no one should face harassment in their workplace — or anywhere else, for that matter. Planned Parenthood Action Fund stands with survivors, whether they come forward or choose not to, and will continue to support them.”
