The Planned Parenthood Action Fund announced its endorsement of state legislator Bryan Lentz for the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania’s Seventh Congressional District. The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

“The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Bryan Lentz for Congress,” said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “Bryan Lentz is a passionate advocate for women’s rights and women’s reproductive health.”

As a state Representative, Lentz has been a leader on women’s issues, including introducing legislation calling for the creation of an Office of Women’s Health that would highlight women’s health issues.

“Voters in Pennsylvania want a champion of women’s health to represent them. That champion is Bryan Lentz,” said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “Pennsylvania voters can count on Bryan Lentz to stand up for women and families and put commonsense health care needs ahead of ideology and politics.”

If Lentz is elected, he will be a strong advocate in Congress to improve access to quality health care for women, fight to end discrimination and violence against women, support and protect a woman's right to choose, strengthen comprehensive sex education to keep our young people healthy and safe, and invest in prevention programs, including family planning services and breast cancer screenings.

The election will be held on November 2.
