Planned Parenthood Action Fund Endorses Cory Booker for U.S. Senate

Piscataway, NJ – Planned Parenthood Action Fund today announced its endorsement of Newark Mayor Cory Booker for U.S. Senate.  The statewide Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey, along with local supporters of women’s health, joined Cecile Richards, president of the national Action Fund, at an endorsement event on the Rutgers University campus.
 
“Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Cory Booker today for U.S. Senate,” said Richards.  “Mayor Booker is a strong champion for women’s health and rights, and he will fight for women’s access to birth control, preventive health care, and women’s reproductive rights.  Mayor Booker will protect the health care that thousands of women, men, and families in New Jersey get from Planned Parenthood, and he understands that politicians should not interfere in a woman’s personal health decisions. New Jersey voters face a stark choice in this race. Mayor Booker’s opponent would cut off women and their families from preventive health care, like lifesaving cancer screenings and testing for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.  His opponent has advocated for overturning Roe v. Wade and ending safe, legal abortion.”
