The Planned Parenthood Action Fund announces its endorsement of Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin in the upcoming election for Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate seat.  The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

“We could not be more proud to endorse Tammy Baldwin,” said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.  “In the U.S. House, Tammy Baldwin has been a passionate advocate for women and women’s reproductive rights and made it a priority to promote and protect women’s health, and she will continue to do so in the Senate.”

Tammy Baldwin has continuously worked to improve access to quality health care, especially reproductive health care for women; protect a woman’s right to choose; and invest in prevention programs, including family planning services and lifesaving cancer screenings.

“We are very proud that the Planned Parenthood Action Fund has endorsed Tammy Baldwin to be Wisconsin’s next Senator,” said Tanya Atkinson, executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.  “Congresswoman Baldwin has been an outspoken advocate for Wisconsin’s women and families.  Because of her hard work and dedication in Congress, the women of Wisconsin have had a strong advocate for their reproductive rights.”

As a longtime champion for women’s health, Tammy Baldwin is a featured “champ” on Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s new Women are Watching website: womenarewatching.org.
