Planned Parenthood Action Fund Statement on Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, DC -- Planned Parenthood Action Fund released the following statement on Donald Trump’s presidential announcement today, adding to the growing list of Republican candidates with extreme and outdated positions on women’s health.

Statement from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President, Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

“Donald Trump may be a long shot candidate, but his attitude toward women’s health is no joke. Like the majority of GOP candidates thus far, Donald Trump wants to ban safe and legal abortion, all while rolling back the progress made for women thanks to the Affordable Care Act, which ensures women get birth control without a copay.

“At Planned Parenthood Action Fund, we’re moving forward. And that starts by ensuring voters know exactly where these ‘Mad Men’ candidates stand on women’s health.”
