Planned Parenthood Action Fund Statement on GOP Results

Washington, DC – Planned Parenthood Action Fund released the following statement regarding results from Tuesday night's primaries:

Statement from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

“Every GOP candidate running for president has the same plan for women’s health: block access to birth control, cancer screenings and safe, legal abortion. All of them want to take us back to a time where women weren’t able to make their own personal health care decisions. We’re not going to let them. The American people flat-out reject this anti-abortion, anti-women agenda. They want a president who will move us forward –– not one who wants to take us backward.

“That is why so many women are standing up in support of Hillary Clinton. For her entire career, she has not only fought back extreme, inflammatory attacks on women’s health, but she has proactively advanced and promoted reproductive health and rights. She’s the champion we need in the White House.

14 national polls since last summer have shown strong support for Planned Parenthood. Polling in major swing states also shows strong support for Planned Parenthood.
