Washington, DC –– Today, nearly 24 hours after the world was exposed to yet another disgusting display of Donald Trump’s misogyny, Mike Pence finally responded by claiming he is “offended by the words and actions” of his running mate.

“Mike Pence’s condemnation rings hollow. Pence has made a career out of attacking women’s health, rights, and dignity. Does he really expect credit for expressing disappointment in the man whose ticket he proudly joined and whose words and actions he has shamelessly defended?
“Both Trump and Pence are a threat to the health and well-being of women and their families. Trading in one man who boasts of attacks on women for another who legislates them is a poor substitution. Both of these men have made their disdain for women perfectly clear, through their words and their actions. We cannot afford to let either one anywhere near the White House.”
