Planned Parenthood Statement on Trump’s VP Speculation

Washington, DC –– Planned Parenthood Action Fund released the following statement on reports that Donald Trump considering Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn for Vice President.

“Women in America are not fooled –– Donald Trump doesn’t understand or care about women’s health or lives. Donald Trump wants to criminalize abortion, he wants to block millions of people from accessing birth control and cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood, and he’s said that he wants to punish women for having an abortion. Whomever he picks as Vice President will reflect those values. We need to elect a women’s health champion to the White House. Hillary Clinton is a fierce and proven champion for women and for families. She knows this country can’t move ahead if women are left behind. We stand with her because she has stood for us.”
