“North Carolina women see right through Richard Burr's empty words. Time and time again, Richard Burr has not stood by women and has not helped survivors of sexual assault get the justice they deserve. Burr voted against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. Richard Burr has supported Donald Trump as he bullied, demeaned, and disrespected women on the campaign trail. And Richard Burr stood by Trump after he said that women should be punished for having an abortion. Burr is not standing on principle, simply politics. Richard Burr must unequivocally withdraw his support from Donald Trump.”
