Washington, DC -- Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards released the following statement tonight after Hillary Clinton picked up major wins in Maryland, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Over the last few weeks, Richards campaigned for Secretary Clinton in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, and talked to voters about Clinton’s decades-long record of fighting for health care access, reproductive rights, and support for Planned Parenthood.

“Hillary Clinton’s victories tonight reveal her understanding of the challenges Americans face on a daily basis. Through everyday conversations, Hillary hears the voices of individuals demanding health equity, equal pay, and an end to institutional racism in our country that is so deep we have seen water supplies poisoned. As president, she will level the playing field for all Americans regardless of socioeconomic status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

“The Republican candidates are achieving new lows every day - suggesting women be punished for their health care decisions. Hillary is showing us that a world of love, kindness, and real policy solutions - no matter where you live - is the right vision to move our country forward.”
