The decision in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt reaffirms a woman’s constitutional right to access legal abortion and sends a strong message to anti-women's rights politicians that they cannot pass deceptive anti-abortion laws in Texas and beyond.

Quote from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President, Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

Today's victory means we can fight state by state, legislature by legislature, law by law, and restore women's access to reproductive health care. It means attempts to eliminate women’s access to safe, legal abortion have been stopped in their tracks.

“This ruling shows just how critical the election in November will be. We cannot elect someone like Donald Trump, who would take this country back decades, and who routinely demeans and dismisses women’s health and the realities of their lives. We need to elect Hillary Clinton, an unwavering champion for women who will fight to protect and expand access to reproductive health care. Today was a monumental step forward, and we’re going to take that momentum all the way to the ballot box in November.”
