Madison, WI – Planned Parenthood Action Fund issued the following statement on the decisive re-election of Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin:

Quote from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President, Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

In a resounding win for women’s health care, Wisconsinites have voted to send health care champion Sen. Tammy Baldwin back to the Senate. In contrast to the anti-abortion extremism of Wisconsin State Sen. Leah Vukmir, Sen. Tammy Baldwin has fought tirelessly for the women and all people of Wisconsin, pushing back against attempts by the Trump-Pence administration to roll back access to contraception, block patients from care at Planned Parenthood health centers, and gut access to affordable health care.

“Wisconsin voters sent a clear message that politicians who support the Trump-Pence attacks on reproductive health care have no business representing them in Congress. We congratulate Sen. Tammy Baldwin on her re-election and look forward to continuing to work with her in the Senate.
