Within 24 hours of when House Republicans introduced a bill repealing the Affordable Care Act and blocking patients from care at Planned Parenthood, something amazing happened: Over 1,000 Planned Parenthood "Defenders" — a dedicated group of supporters who can respond at a moment's notice — showed up at district offices throughout the country to say #IStandWithPP and urge their lawmakers to stand with Planned Parenthood, too. Defenders visited members of Congress from both sides of the political aisle, bringing signs and taking selfies to show the strength of the resistance.  Here are some of their photos.

Planned Parenthood of New York City and supporters rallied outside Rep. Dan Donovan (R)'s 11th District office on March 7.

Planned Parenthood Great Plains and supporters rallied in Oklahoma City on March 7.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest and supporters rallied outside the California offices of Reps. Duncan Hunter (R), Darrell Issa (R), and Ken Calvert (R) on March 7.

Planned Parenthood - Middle and East Tennessee (PPMET) and supporters participated in a "Protect Our Health Care" rally and press conference in Knoxville, Tenn., on March 7. Speakers who will be affected by an ACA repeal shared their stories of care.
