Washington, DC – Tonight we saw candidates double down on their out-of-touch, extremist political agenda — to ban access to safe, legal abortion; to end insurance coverage for birth control with no copay; and to block patients from accessing care at Planned Parenthood, a health care provider that approximately one out of five women has relied on in her lifetime.

What we didn’t see is any candidate take responsibility for using the heavily edited, discredited videos to peddle lies about Planned Parenthood — despite a grand jury felony indictment of Daleiden just days ago.

Quote from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President, Planned Parenthood Action Fund:

“Tonight it’s more clear than ever: we need to elect Hillary Clinton. These candidates on stage tonight took positions so far outside of the mainstream, it’s frightening. Chris Christie said the ‘one thing’ he would change about the federal government would be to strip access to basic reproductive health care services. Rand Paul advocated for states to make abortion outright illegal. And Fiorina ignored the felony charges facing Daleiden, doubling down on her lies. It’s time to elect a candidate who will move our country forward — and fight for the lives and health of women and girls across the country, and around the world.”
