Ralph Alvarado threatens Kentuckians’ health and independence and has made dangerous decisions that Kentuckians continue to pay for.

Alvarado has spent a career profiting off the health care industry—from a drugmaker that pled guilty to fraud, to the PACs now backing his campaign, while voting 21 times to ban or restrict abortion. Meanwhile, Kentuckians are losing coverage, losing access to health care, and losing the freedom to make their own decisions. There is nothing affordable or caring about Alvarado.

Alvarado supports a nationwide abortion ban.

We can't afford to send Alvarado to Congress to rubberstamp Trump's cuts to Medicaid and social services we need. REJECT Ralph Alvarado in Kentucky's 6th Congressional District.

GET THE FACTS

Ralph Alvarado has spent his career trying to ban abortion in Kentucky (20+ times!).

He voted 21 times to restrict or ban abortion, including voting to amend Kentucky’s Constitution to say there is no right to abortion— forcing rape and incest survivors to remain pregnant.

  • 2022: HB 3, an anti-abortion omnibus that banned abortion in Kentucky.

  • 2022: SB 321, another abortion ban in Kentucky.

Alvarado sponsored 9 bills to restrict or ban abortion in Kentucky.

Alvarado didn’t just vote for restrictions on abortion—he led the charge by sponsoring nine anti-abortion bills and amendments:

Alvarado is a doctor who voted to take health care away from people who couldn’t afford it anywhere else.

Cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing, and so much more. Votes like these are never about protecting Kentuckians and all about deciding who gets essential care and who doesn’t.

  • He would do it again: Alvarado supports the Medicaid cuts in HR 1, the same policy at the federal level used to strip Medicaid patients of the right to choose their own trusted provider.

  • Kentuckians pay for it: Those cuts are already forcing rural hospitals to scale back services, defunded reproductive health care, and cost nearly 210,000 Kentuckians their coverage.

Alvarado has taken money from the health care industry at every stage of his career: as a physician, as a state senator, and as a candidate for Congress—all while opposing your access to health care.
  • Alvarado took campaign contributions from Nurses Registry and Home Health, a company that federal prosecutors allege was buying patient referrals. Alvarado sent patients its way and the company collected over a million dollars in taxpayer-funded Medicare payments.
