OLYMPIA— Statement from Courtney Normand, Washington State Director for Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawai‘i:

“Today’s revenue forecast underlines the critical need for the legislature to fix Washington’s woefully inadequate Medicaid reimbursement rates for family planning providers. Investments in family planning are always good economic sense, but today’s revenue outlook makes it even more clear that legislators can and must take action. The legislature must build on Governor Inslee’s budget and include a family planning Medicaid fix in both of their budgets. Patients, providers, and people across Washington state are watching closely.”
