It’s that time again. Congressional recess, and y’all know the drill. R-E-S-I-S-T.

Lawmakers are back home for another congressional recess from July 2–July 9. It’s possible you can catch them at a town hall, community event, or Fourth of July parade.

Congressional recess is our opportunity to show up and let our lawmakers know that we’re sick and tired of the Trump-Pence administration’s attacks on our health and rights.

People are struggling, experiencing violence, and are being separated from their families. If every one of us took these three actions, we could send a powerful message to our representatives.

Fight to Protect for Our Health Care!

We have less than a month to tell the Trump administration: #NoGagRule! The gag rule is designed to block people from getting accurate health care information and from getting care at Planned Parenthood health centers and other reproductive health providers. It would prevent doctors from giving patients the vital reproductive health care they need.

Demand that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) stop Trump's dangerous gag rule!

TAKE ACTION

Fight for Our Rights!

Justice Kennedy's retirement means Trump will get to appoint a new Supreme Court justice — putting our constitutional right to access abortion and to live free from discrimination at risk. Trump holds the balance of the court in his hands. We can’t lose this fight.

Tell your senators to reject ANY nominee who will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade or endanger our health and communities.

TAKE ACTION

Fight for Our Communities!

The Trump-Pence administration has used heinous family separation tactics — and now, family detention — at the U.S.–Mexico border. From slavery to Native American “boarding schools” to Japanese internment camps, separating families and interfering with the health and welfare of children of color have long been tactics of the U.S. government in the systematic oppression of communities of color.

That violent legacy continues with the separation of immigrant children from their families and with family detention, and it’s on us to help stop it. Children belong with their families, but they also belong in safe and healthy environments, not in cages alongside their parents and family members.

Families shouldn’t have to live in fear of detention, deportation, or family separation. We’re committed to defending the rights of immigrants, refugees, and their families to safely access health care and protect them from institutionalized abuse, harassment, and discrimination.
